HR Training & Development Coordinator

PURPOSE OF JOB

Company wide Human Resources issues and administration with regards to training. Administratively very demanding to ensure accurate information is correct and updates due to legal nature of the department. The job

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

HR Operations

  • Ensure accurate and timeous reporting of Skills Development report as per legislation
  • Ensure supervisors and managers always use consistent and fair process when dealing with staff matters relating to training
  • Ensure HR documentation and information is accurate and up to date at all times
  • Ensure that monthly reports are updated by no later than the 7th of each month
  • Facilitate the two-way flow of communication by disseminating information from management to staff and vice versa, where possible
  • Assist management with any training related problems
  • Assist with Recruitment when required.

BBBEE

  • Manage the collation of required information for annual BBBEE certification
  • Ensure accurate reporting and maintenance of the BBBEE Database
  • Manage Social Responsibility contributions.

LMS

  • Maintain designated Learning Management System
  • Assign relevant employees to training initiatives
  • Provide reporting as required.

SDF

  • Function as registered Company SDF
  • Annual Submission of WSP/ATR reports
  • Application and maintenance of Mandatory and Discretionary Grant funding.

Training & Development

  • Establish annual Training Needs Analysis through the annual evaluation procedure
  • In consultation with the HR Manager and Management, conduct and maintain a skills audit database to determine critical staffing plans and to assist with succession planning
  • In consultation with the HR Manager, develop and implement specific in-house courses on an ad-hoc basis in line with the training requirements
  • Assist with career development plans
  • Design and Development of Training Material where required
  • Ensure that learnerships/internship/work integrated learning best practices are followed through to completion
  • Ensure training is carried out according to procedure and the Skills Dev legislation
  • Ensure cost effective use of training funds
  • Update and maintain training databases on SAGE300 as and when training is requested and completed
  • Sourcing suitable training suppliers
  • Maintain a training supplier database/file
  • Organise external and internal training courses on request
  • Ensure training registers are completed and filed after every training intervention
  • Evaluate training courses and suppliers on a regular basis
  • Ensure accurate and timeous reporting on reports as required.

Graduate Training and artisan initiatives

  • Monitoring of Training initiatives
  • Monitoring of Portfolio of Evidence.

Policies & Procedures

  • Assist with the drafting and updating of Company Policies and Procedures when required
  • Ensure that the handbook is updated and polices distributed and implemented when changes are made.

Administration

  • General typing and filing, such as general correspondence as and when required
  • Ensure that the system and all files regarding your portfolio is accurate and up to date at all times

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12 Certificate)
  • HR Degree or Diploma would be an added advantage
  • Possession of a valid Code 8 / EB drivers license
  • At least 5 years HR experience
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word
  • KNowledge of HR Premier or VIP system essential
  • Knowledge of EE and SDF essential
  • Working knowledge of current Labour Legislation
  • Ability to reconcile for budgetary purposes
  • Salary Processing experience would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of BEE wouldbe an advantage
